Every Artyfile license (both Basic and Limited Edition) grants you a lifetime, worldwide synchronization (sync) right. This allows you to use the music in your film, video, commercial, social media post, or any other audiovisual project, forever, without any recurring fees.
How does owning a share of a jazz track actually work?
When you purchase an Artyfile Limited Edition, you buy a 1% share of the master rights to that song. This share is minted as a secure Music NFT on the Ethereum blockchain, proving your ownership. From that point on, you receive a proportional share of all revenue the track generates worldwide, including streaming royalties (e.g., from Spotify, Apple Music) and future sync licensing fees paid by others.
Are these tracks really "royalty-free"?
Yes, in the sense that you pay a one-time fee for the sync license and never have to pay us again for your use of the music. This is often called "royalty-free". However, our Limited Edition model goes beyond that by making YOU a recipient of royalties (performance rights and mechanicals), which are collected globally and paid out to you quarterly.
