What calm sound does your wellness content need?

Meditation and spa music is not one wallpaper — a guided session, a sleep video and a spa promo each need a different kind of calm. Pick what you are producing and we’ll match the sound, the real instruments and how to place it, then find the track below.

What are you producing?

Yoga class & flow video

Sound

Gentle movement — calm pulse around 60–80 BPM

Real instruments

Acoustic guitar, harp, soft keys, light percussion

How to place it

Match sections to your sequence: steadier pulse for flow, stiller pieces for savasana; keep transitions on the breath cues.

Why it works

A subtle pulse carries movement without turning the class into a workout video.

Can you legally play music in a yoga class?

The honest answer has two halves, and most libraries only tell you one. In the studio, in person: music played to a room of students is a public performance — a matter the studio settles with its local collection society (GEMA in Germany, PRS, ASCAP/BMI elsewhere), with any professionally composed music, ours included. No download license changes that, and we'd rather tell you now than after you buy. On camera: the moment your class becomes a recording — a YouTube flow, a course module, a livestream replay — the right you need is synchronisation, and that is exactly what you license here. The full use-by-use triage is in the honest coverage matrix on this page.

What does “royalty-free yoga music” actually mean?

Every recording is protected by copyright, including tracks labelled “free” — what “royalty-free” really promises is a one-time price with no per-use royalties. At Artyfile that is €29.90 once per track: a worldwide, lifetime sync and master-use license, delivered with the studio-grade 44.1 kHz WAV and a license certificate. It covers an unlimited number of your own productions — every class recording, every reel, every course cohort reusing the same track — and explicitly includes client work, such as a videographer producing for a studio. See all prices or browse the collection.

Music for online yoga courses and memberships

A course is a series, and a series needs the same sound in lesson 1 and lesson 40. License a small set of tracks once and reuse them across every module and cohort — with no subscription that de-clears your old lessons the day you cancel. Match the arc of a class: a gentle pulse around 60–80 BPM for the flow, stiller pieces for yin and savasana, and one signature opening track so your students recognise your channel with their eyes closed.

On YouTube: the honest Content ID answer

Our catalogue is registered in YouTube Content ID with a monetise policy. A Content ID claim may appear on your video — and your video is never blocked, muted or struck. Ad revenue attributed to the music routes to Artyfile's worldwide Content ID pool; with a Limited Edition share (from €69.90 per 1% of a master) you participate in that pool plus streaming and sync revenue — an honest bonus that may also be zero, never a promised return.

Real instruments for a practice that notices

Yoga students spend an hour listening more carefully than most audiences ever do. A real harp breathes with the room, a real guitar string decays naturally, real piano phrases leave space for breath cues — qualities the AI-generated loops flooding this niche audibly lack. If your content drifts toward stillness, the meditation and spa collection continues where the flow ends; our guide to choosing royalty-free yoga music goes deeper on picking the right track per class type.

Is yoga music royalty-free — and what does a license actually cover?

“Royalty-free”, “copyright-free” and “licensed” get used for completely different situations in the wellness space — and they have different answers. What matters is not the label but what you are using the recording for. Here is honestly what our license covers — and what it does not.

Your useWhat actually applies
Guided meditation, breathwork, hypnosis audioYour voice over the music — YouTube, podcast, course platformCoveredFully covered. Sync and master rights come directly from Artyfile — no additional collection-society fee on your license. €29.90 once per track, worldwide and for life, across unlimited productions of your own: every new session using the same track is already included.
Sleep & deep-relaxation video on your channelLong, music-forward videos, monetized channels includedCoveredCovered — and here we are more precise than most libraries: our catalog is registered in YouTube Content ID with a monetize policy. A Content ID claim may appear, but your video is never blocked, muted or struck. Ad revenue on the music routes to Artyfile’s worldwide Content ID pool — and with a Limited Edition share (from €69.90 per 1%) you participate in exactly that pool plus streaming and sync revenue. Earnings are an honest bonus and may be zero.
Spa, practice or studio marketingBrand film, reels, website video, paid adsCoveredFully covered — worldwide, permanent, advertising included. Your license ships with a certificate as documented proof of rights. One calm signature track across every channel makes a wellness brand sound like one place.
Online yoga class, livestream, online courseMembership area, course platform, streamingCoveredCovered: websites, online streaming and course content are licensed uses. A small set of tracks carries a whole series — with no subscription that de-clears your old lessons the day you cancel.
Client work for spa & wellness businessesA videographer or agency producing for a studioCoveredCovered: the license explicitly permits projects for clients and employers. It stays with you as the licensee — if the client wants to reuse the recording independently, they need their own license.
Music INSIDE the spa: treatment room, lobby, class roomMusic played publicly to guestsNot our caseHonestly, we are not the right product here. Public performance in a business space is — for ANY music — a separate matter between the operator and the local collection society (GEMA in Germany, PRS, ASCAP/BMI elsewhere); Artyfile music is in the GEMA repertoire, like the work of every professional composer. And separately: a personal Spotify or streaming account is licensed for personal, non-commercial use only under its own terms. If your only goal is avoiding the performance-society registration for your rooms, you need a provider with expressly society-free repertoire, not us.
A meditation app or playlist where the music itself is the productPure music streams, audio downloads, a music libraryNot our caseThe standard license deliberately does not cover this: recordings may not be redistributed as standalone audio files, compilations or a music library. Guided content WITH your voice is case 1 and covered. For an app whose core is the music itself, talk to us about an individual agreement — get in touch.

The real question is not “is it royalty-free?” but “is this recording cleared for exactly what I’m making?”

For guided meditations, sleep and yoga videos, spa marketing, courses and client work the Artyfile answer is yes — €29.90 once, worldwide, for life, with a certificate. Because we administer sync and master rights ourselves, no additional collection-society fee lands on your license.

Frequently asked questions

Can I legally play music in my in-person yoga class?

Music played live to a room of students is a public performance — the studio settles that with its local collection society (GEMA, PRS, ASCAP/BMI), with any professionally composed music, including ours. Our license covers your recordings and videos: the filmed class, the online course, the livestream replay.

What music can I use in yoga videos on YouTube?

Music licensed for synchronisation. An Artyfile Basic license is €29.90 once per track — worldwide, lifetime, unlimited own productions. The catalogue is registered in Content ID with a monetise policy: a claim may appear, but your video is never blocked, muted or struck.

What does a yoga music license cost and what does it cover?

€29.90 one-time per track. It covers your yoga videos, online classes, course modules, reels and studio marketing — across unlimited productions of your own, plus client work — with a 44.1 kHz WAV download and a license certificate as proof.

Can I use one license for a whole course series?

Yes. The license is per track, not per project: every module, cohort and re-edit that uses the track is included, permanently. No subscription that expires under lessons you published years ago.

Is the music real or AI-generated?

Played and recorded by real musicians — acoustic guitar, harp, piano, soft strings and ambient textures. Every track has human authorship and fully documented rights, which is what makes it safe to license commercially.

Can I earn from the yoga music I license?

The €29.90 Basic license itself includes no revenue participation. With Artyfile Limited Edition (from €69.90 per 1% share) you own a registered share of a recording's master rights and receive pro-rata streaming, sync and Content-ID pool revenue. Earnings are an honest bonus and may be zero — never a guaranteed return.
