Oktoberfest and Polka Music for Videos and Adverts
Oktoberfest needs one sound: accordion, brass and a polka beat that makes people clap along. The tent hits from the real Wiesn are mostly modern Schlager and pop covers, protected songs that get a brewery advert or an event video muted or claimed once it is posted. Here you find polkas, Bavarian Boarischer and Alpine dance music recorded by real musicians, for Oktoberfest campaigns, beer hall promotions and event videos anywhere in the world, licensed once for €29.90 per track, worldwide and with no expiry.

Why the famous tent hits are the trap
What a crowd sings on the benches is mostly not old folk music. Tent favourites such as the "Fliegerlied" or covers of "Take Me Home, Country Roads" are recent, protected songs with publishers and labels behind them. In a brewery advert, a restaurant promo or a sponsored post, each one needs a licence from both. Posted without them, the video is matched by YouTube Content ID or the Instagram and TikTok audio systems and muted, blocked or claimed.
A polka is a dance form, not a song: nobody owns "polka". What can be protected is each composition and each recording. Artyfile's polkas and Boarischer are original works and arrangements of traditional tunes, played by real musicians with accordion, brass, zither and harp, not generated.
What does the licence cover, and what not?
Covered: your Oktoberfest campaign and every video with the music: social media, website, YouTube, in-store screens showing your spot, cinema and TV adverts, client work by agencies. One licence per track, €29.90 once, worldwide and forever, with a licence certificate.
Not covered: the music at your Oktoberfest party itself. Playing music in a beer hall, a restaurant or at an event is a public performance. The venue or organiser settles it with the local collecting society (GEMA in Germany, AKM in Austria, ASCAP, BMI or SESAC in the US, PRS in the UK), as for any music played in public.
Artyfile registers its catalogue with YouTube Content ID, so a claim may appear on a monetised YouTube video; it is not a copyright strike and the video stays online.

Frequently asked questions
What music is played at Oktoberfest?
In the Munich tents, brass bands play traditional marches and polkas during the day and Schlager, party songs and pop covers in the evening. For videos and adverts, traditional-style polkas and Boarischer give the Oktoberfest sound without the licensing problems of the modern tent hits.
Can I use Oktoberfest songs in an advert?
Only with licences from the publisher and the label, because most tent hits are recent, protected songs. An Artyfile polka is licensed once for €29.90 and may be used in adverts on social media, websites, TV and cinema worldwide.
Is polka music copyrighted?
Polka is a dance form and belongs to no one, but each polka composition and each recording can be protected. Traditional tunes are often public domain as compositions; their recordings carry their own rights.
Can I play the music at our Oktoberfest event?
Not under the video licence. Music played at an event, in a restaurant or a beer hall is a public performance, which the venue or organiser settles with the local collecting society (GEMA, ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, PRS).
Is the music played by real musicians?
Yes. Artyfile's polkas and Boarischer are recorded with accordion, brass, zither, harp and band, not generated by AI.
When should an Oktoberfest campaign be ready?
The Munich Oktoberfest runs from mid-September to the first days of October, and many events worldwide follow the same dates. Campaign videos are usually produced in summer; a licence bought once covers the campaign every year.
