Jodler is a calm, atmospheric Alpine yodel by the Meissnitzer Band from 2010, written by Paul Lorenz, Christiane Meissnitzer and Johann Gsenger: a female yodel with male harmonies over diatonic accordion, acoustic guitar and soft pads. No lyrics, just the mountains in sound. Sync licence from €29.90.
A slow intro with soft pads, fingerpicked guitar and a gentle accordion melody leads into three yodel sections, separated by short instrumental interludes. There are no words – the yodel works like an instrument, which makes the track easy to place under narration-free nature footage. It fades out quietly.
