A slow, gentle intro on acoustic guitar and diatonic accordion leads into the verses, sung in dialect by a male lead with mixed harmonies in the refrain. Short instrumental interludes separate the verses; the arrangement stays intimate and unhurried at around 72 BPM, like singing in a parlour on an Advent evening. It ends cleanly.
