Nachtns spat erst umra neune

Nachtns spat erst umra neune is a traditional Alpine Herbergslied – the Advent song about the late-night search for shelter in Bethlehem – recorded by the Meissnitzer Band in 2010 in a quiet arrangement by Paul Lorenz for accordion, guitar, bass and voices. Sync licence from €29.90.

What does Nachtns spat erst umra neune sound like?

A slow, gentle intro on acoustic guitar and diatonic accordion leads into the verses, sung in dialect by a male lead with mixed harmonies in the refrain. Short instrumental interludes separate the verses; the arrangement stays intimate and unhurried at around 72 BPM, like singing in a parlour on an Advent evening. It ends cleanly.
